As a student from Bangladesh who is studying at Shandong University, I have been really interested in the Chinese language and culture. After watching the real martial arts (武术), taichi in the opening ceremony of the university, my interest in kung fu and taichi increased a lot. Since childhood, I have seen amazing action movie stars, including Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan and Jet Li. And I always dreamed of learning the martial arts. So when I arrived in China, I really wished to learn taichi and kung fu. When I went out for a walk on the first day of my university, I saw some old people practicing taichi in a local park slowly. I stopped and watched their movements closely. It seemed so interesting, and the next day, I rushed to the teachers' office to choose taichi as my additional course (选修课). The following week I practiced taking every bit of the training seriously and tried to keep my balance (平衡), which was a difficult job. No dream is too small, and it is not impossible to realize our dreams, no matter how difficult they are. Studying at Shandong University and making a new start in my life, I will try my best to bring a change in society.
