If you love to watch the NBA games, you must know Stephon Marbury. He's from New York, and both of his parents are workers. He started to play basketball he was three. As he was in primary school, he was a (talent) player. And now he's a famous basketball star, He once worked for the NBA and won many (prize). Now he's very popular in China. He joined the CBA in 2010. And he took it (serious). His statue(雕像)is in front of Beijing's Wukesong Stadium (体育馆).
Marbury is asking a Chinese green card, or permanent residence permit (永久居留证). China started (give) permanent residence permits to people from other countries in 2004. About 5,000 foreigners (外国人)have the permits (许可证) now. If Marbury can get his green card, he'll be the first foreign (play) to get the permit.
"I'll feel the same with the card without(没有)the card. I won't feel different. Beijing is still home for me and it's in my heart," (say) the 38-year-old American.
He has three (child), two daughters and a son. Before long, he will act in a movie namedNew Yorker in Beijing. The movie is about his story.
