A week has passed since the head teacher scolded(责骂,斥责) her at the school sports meeting, but Jin Ning, 14, still felt unhappy.
The head teacher scolded her for wearing tight clothes instead of the school uniform. But actually Jin wore those clothes to run faster and was going to put on the school uniform after the race.
"I was wronged," Jin said. "I felt angry and sad."
Many students come across similar things with Jin. Sometimes, teachers don't fully know the situation and they make their judgments. It easily leads to misunderstandings. Such things are not only bad for the relationship between students and teachers, but also the healthy development of students.
Zhang Yu, 14, from Anhui Province, thought the best way was to talk to teacher "in private" after some time. "Refuting teachers in public is impolite and will make teachers angrier," she said.
Liu Chun, a teacher from Heilongjiang Province, agreed with Zhang. She said many teachers hurt students' feelings without meaning to. "Students are sensitive. After all, teachers cannot know everything," she said. "So I hope students can come to teachers to clear up the misunderstandings."
For those who feel too shy to do that, Jin offered another choice. She wrote a letter to her teacher. "He talked to me later on and now we're good," she said happily.
