My mother works all day so I have to take care of my younger brother. My little brother is about four years old and he1our mother all the time.
One day, after I give my little brother his dinner, he starts 2 for Mum. He is so young and3misses(想) Mum. So I 4 him, put on his shoes, carry him on my back(背) and walk out. Soon he falls asleep and we go on. About half a(n) 5 later, I find that he loses a shoe while sleeping. I take him off my back and put him down. I know we 6 find that shoe, for our mother doesn't have enough money to buy new shoes. We have to go back to find 7, so I tell my brother to wait(等) right 8. A man hears it and stops me just before I walk off. He is very 9 . He asks me, "You are leaving your brother here to find the shoe? What will you do if(如果) your 10 is not here when you return?"
I don't know 11 to answer that question. He says, "It's OK if you can't find the shoe, 12 it is not OK to lose your brother." Then he sends us to 13 workplace(工作地) by taxi.
In my lifetime, I meet many strangers 14 the young man. I feel sorry that I cannot find them and say thank you. I do not even 15 what the man's face looks like, but he teaches me a lesson — people are more important than things.
