It's Mother's Day. A man stops his car at a flower shop to order some flowers to his mother, and his mother lives two hundred miles away. As he gets out of his car, he notices(注意到) a young girl sitting on the ground crying. He asks her what's wrong and she answers, "I want to buy a red rose for my mother. But I only have seventy⁃five cents(美分), and a rose costs two dollars. "The man smiles and says, "Come on in with me. I'll buy you a rose. "
He buys the little girl her rose and orders his own mother's flowers. As they leave he helps her to ride home. She says, "Yes, please! You can take me to my mother." She leads him to a cemetery(墓地). She places the rose on a grave(坟墓). The man returns to the flower shop, ends the order, pick up(挑选) flowers and drives two hundred miles to her mother's house.
