Dear Dad and Mum,

I feel excited to write you the email now. I'm very happy to stay in my Chinese friend's house now. How are you in the UK? Are you still very busy?

Today is January 15th in the lunar calendar (农历) in China. It's the Lantern Festival. My friend Li Kun is making a big lantern for his son, Li Lei. Mrs. Li is busy in the kitchen. Their daughter, Li Yuan, is playing with her toys and Li Lei is enjoying sweet dumplings at the table. I am watching TV on the sofa. Some girls are dancing to music on TV. Li Kun says we will eat sweet dumplings at dinner time. There are many different kinds of sweet dumplings. They have different kinds of stuffing (馅儿) in them. And I can't wait to eat them.
