"I will risk my life for you." The sentence on the book cover of The Quality of Silence attracted me in the library. It was a touching confession (表白) of love. But as I started to read it, I found the book was not only about love, but courage and faith.
British author Rosamund Lupton wrote the booktells the story of Yasmin and her deaf daughter Ruby. They arrive in Alaska, US. Someone tells them that Ruby's father, Matt, (die) in an accident. Yasmin can't accept the fact of her( husband) death. She sets out into the cold winter (look) for him. But a lot of things happen. A storm closes in, someone follows them and sends them scary photos. But they don't give up and keep moving. (luck), they meet Matt again.
The author tells the story from Yasmin's view in (three) person and from Ruby's in first person. The author takes turns telling the story from the two views. It's such a great idea.Ruby's story, I feel like I'm in Alaska facing the same problems as them. I can't put down the book even for a second I want to know what happens next.
I (move) by Yasmin's spirit as well. I cried when I saw Matt and Yasmin together at last. (they) love was the reason that they both kept going.
