One day I took a taxi and we set off for the airport. The driver was driving on his driveway when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.

My taxi driver stopped his car, and missed that car by just inches! The driver of that car pointed at us with his finger and started shouting at us! But my taxi driver just smiled at him. So I asked, "Why did you just do that? This man almost broke your car!"

My taxi driver taught me what I now call "The Law of the Rubbish Truck". He explained that many people are like rubbish trucks. They run around full of rubbish. As their rubbish piles up, they need a place to put it down. So they may get angry, upset, or even shout at you.

Just smile, wish them well and move on. Don't take their rubbish and throw it to other people at work, at home or on the streets.

Successful people do not let rubbish trucks take over their day. Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets (遗憾), so love the people who treat you right and give your wishes to the ones who don't. Life is 10% what you make it and 90% how you take it!
