Nowadays there'8 less and less contact between the old and the young. There're mainly four 1 for this, including the breakdown of the big family, working parents with little time to take care of their children, families that have moved away, and smaller flats(公寓)with2room for grandparents. But the results are the same. More old people are lonely and feel useless, and more and more3with young children need more love and care. It's a big problem in many countries. One successful scheme in London pairs young volunteers with old people who're losing their sight(看不见). For example, a retired judge may be paired with a teenager who wants to study law.
