I work in a cleaning company (公司). Usually people call us, and we give them housecleaning(serve).
One day, I got a call from a man (name) Jim. "I want to help an old man. He just had surgery(手术). Can I pay for it without (let) him know?" "he asked. Then he explained to us why he wanted to help him. This old man is Jim's neighbor, Mr. Brown. He lived (lonely) and just returned from the hospital. There was still something wrong with his leg. His house was in a mess, but he(not do) any housework. Even (sweep) the floor was difficult for him. So Jim offered (help) Mr. Brown and he said he didn't want to bring the old man any (press).
The next day, we went to Mr. Brown's house. Because we promised Jim not to tell his name, we didn't tell too much to Mr. Brown. He was touched by the gift from someone he didn't know. Sometimes we don't expect (depend) on others, as we are afraid of making them (get) into trouble. However, there is always someone who cares for you and tries his best to help you.
