Welcome home! Huawei's Chief Financial Officer(首席财政官）Meng Wanzhou,after being illegally held(非法拘押)in Canada for nearly three years, flew back to China on September 25th, 2021. This is a very huge win for China. On the way home, Meng said, "I am finally back home!The most important thing is that we were born in a great country. Chairman Xi cares about the safety of every Chinese. Without our strong country——China, I have no freedom(自由)today". She will never forget all the help and support from Chinese people and the people all over the world.
On December 1st,2018, Meng had to stay in Canada because the US charged(指控)her and wanted to take her to the US. The US wanted to break Chinese high technology companies like Huawei. Meng pleaded not guilty(不认罪)to the charge and finally left Canada safely on September 24th, 2021. It was a hard time for her in Canada. But when she landed at Bao'an International Airport,Shenzhen, the warmth of home almost made her cry. She waved(挥手)her hands to the crowd while she was walking down the plane. She expressed her thanks to the Chinese government and also Chinese people. She said it was a valuable experience in her life. As the saying goes, the bigger the difficulty, the greater the growth.
Her safe return shows China has the ability to protect Chinese people and companies. China's development will not be stopped by any force.
