Alzheimer's patients forget many things in their lives. It (似乎, 好像) that no company wants to hire these patients. However, some of them receive an (邀 请) to work in a restaurant. And the restaurant has a beautiful name: Forget Me Not Cafe.
In this restaurant, six of the waiters and waitresses have Alzheimer's (疾病). Every morning before work starts, they are told about how to take orders and (端上) the dishes. And some (志愿者) mark the name of each dish with a number. In this way, these waiters and waitresses can (记住) the orders more easily.“The customers in this restaurant are very nice and kind to us," said one of them. “I feel happy here, and I really take (自豪感) in working as a waitress!"
Working at this restaurant gives these patients a good chance to connect with (社会) and can help slow the worsening of their Alzheimer. But most Alzheimer's patients are not so lucky. According to a recent report, more than ten (百 万) people in China have Alzheimer. The restaurant hopes to bring more (注意) to this group!
