The teacher said to a student, "Give me your phone. Kyle!" .Kyle gave the teacher his phone.

We all looked in surprise. Because we never saw Kyle read messages(短信) in class. When the teacher left, two students, they often saw messages in class started boasting about how they sent messages and never got caught (被抓).

"Kyle, you stupid(笨)! I put my phone under my desk, so it looks like I'm looking at my textbook", one of them said.

"We always send messages and never get caught" the other one laughed. They thought they were smart, because their teacher never found them.

These two students might not get caught, but neither of them had good grades. They didn't study in class.

People don't just break big rules and get thrown into jail(监狱) overnight(一夜之间).They take it one step at a time. Kyle might be caught, but at least he learned a good lesson. So he will learn more in class and has no troubles. It's smarter not to break small rules.
