Do you have any hobbies? What do you usually do in your free time? Do you play football or do (志愿) work for the community? Here are some of my friends' reports:
Betty: I like playing the guitar. I think playing such a musical (乐器)is really enjoyable. But my parents think I spent too much time on my hobby. They want to stop me enjoying music, although we made a deal. One day I (不及格) my math exam, but I lied to my parents. When my father got the (真相) from my math teacher, he got so angry with me that he broke my guitar. I knew the reason why he got so angry was that he was afraid that I would get into telling lies. The next day I (道歉) to my parents for not being honest. To my surprise, they said sorry too and offered to pay the bill to (修理) my guitar.
Susan: I like visiting museums at weekends and on holidays. Visiting museums is another way of learning which can't be found in text books. (比较) with the museums of the past, you will find that today's museums are active centres of learning. People can learn about (通信)and the environment as well as physics and(化学), you can even do experiments there. Of course, there are some rules for you when you visit a museum.
In my opinion, it is (必要的) for us teenagers to take up a hobby, because it can help us relax. However, we shouldn't spend too much time on it, or it will get in the way of our studies.
