The little horse crosses the river

One day, the mother horse asked the little horse to carry a bag of wheat to the mill. The little horse was very happy to carry the wheat. After a while, he came to a river. The mill was on the other side of the river. And there was no bridge over the river. The cow told him that the water was very shallow, but the squirrel said it was very deep. The little horse didn't know what to do. He had to go back and ask his mother. His mother asked him to have a try. The little horse came back to the river. When he put his legs into the water, and walked carefully, he found the water was neither as shallow as the cow said nor as deep as the squirrel told him. It was just OK for him.
