Great news! Pandas are no longer in danger. They are on the road of recovery(恢复). Back in the 1980s, there as few as 1, 114 pandas in China. But the most recent survey in 2014showed that there were over 1, 864 pandas live in the wild.

Since 1981, the Chinese government has been working with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to save the world's most famous bears and their homes. They set up nature parks which help protect nearly 1300 wild pandas by giving them space to live and bamboo to eat. But the Bamboo forests are getting smaller, so pandas are still losing their homes. The WWF warned that climate (气候) change could also destroy more than 35% of the animals' homes, so there won't enough places to live for them in the next years.

The future for pandas in the long term is not yet clear. But one thing is for sure: we must do more efforts to protect our lovely pandas.
