Mr. Smith, my neighbour, is eighty years old and has no child. My mum helps him every day. She cooks meals for him. She buys the things he needs. If (如果) he is ill, my father drives him to see a doctor. Mr. Smith likes listening to stories and playing chess. I often play chess with him before dinner. And sometimes I tell him interesting stories. He likes watching Peking Opera, too. But I know nothing about it. He often watches them on TV.

I think we are like a family. We enjoy the days together.
