On 1 January, 2022, China's Shenzhou-13 astronauts, Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu, were in the country's space station. Most specially, they were China's first astronauts to celebrate the beginning of the New Year in space!
They had a video call with young people in Beijing, Hong Kong and Macao. They sent their New Year greetings and answered questions from university students in the three cities.
In reply to the questions from the students, the astronauts shared stories about their life and work in space. For example, they made the students know how to keep their physical and mental(身体和精神的) health in space. Besides, the students also learnt something about how to deal with unexpected situations(难以预料的情况) in space from the astronauts. What's more, the astronauts expressed their feelings as an astronaut, too.
To finish a six-month mission(任务), the three astronauts were sent to China's space station on 16 October, 2021. That meant they had to celebrate the traditional Chinese lunar New Year up there. But in their eyes, nothing is more important than our country's interests(利益). Where there is a country, there is a home. Although they couldn'treunitewith their families during the Spring Festival, their hearts were linked to(与······相连) each other.
