The days become longer and warmer, and the nights get shorter but are still cool. Plants begin to grow in spring. In most parts of Canada, you will need a warm coat, a hat, gloves and boots during spring.
Summer — June to August
The weather in summer is hot with temperatures sometimes going over 30℃. Most places have a lot of mosquitoes(蚊子) in late spring or early summer, and the black fly(苍蝇) season begins around the same time and lasts a few weeks. Make sure you have lightweight clothing such as a T-shirt, shorts and a light jacket.
Autumn — September to November
Autumn is a wonderful time of the year in Canada. And it is a good time to travel to Canada. In autumn, the days become shorter. The leaves on the trees turn from green to orange, red, and brown before they begin falling from the trees. The autumn weather can be dry. People enjoy taking part in lots of outdoor activities like hiking, camping and whale watching.
Winter — December to February or later
In some places you could see snow as early as October and as late as April. Daytime temperatures are often below 0℃. And the cold nights can be very dangerous. As you travel farther and farther north into Canada, it will be colder and the days will become shorter and shorter in winter. People need a heavy winter coat, thick wool socks and snow boots to keep warm.
