In a primary school of Sichuan Province, kids are looking forward to cool hairstyles (发型) around a table.
Yang Cheng is one of them. He came to the school to be a volunteer teacher in September 2020.
"Most of the children live far from here, and they can't go home until the weekend. It's not convenient for them to have their hair cut," said Yang. ""
"At first, we didn't know how to cut hair. Then we learnt it from online videos in our free time," Yang added. "We even practised cutting each other's hair."
The teachers volunteer to cut hair every weekend in schools and villages. In addition, they can help the kids develop good hygiene (卫生) habits. "I like the teachers very much, and I want to say thank you to them," said a student.
The team tries to help those students who are unable to go home at the weekend. They teach them how to wash hair and clothes so that they can have a home-like feeling at school.
