All American children like parties very much. They can have different kinds of parties every year. Their favourite parties are birthday party, holiday party and theme party.
Birthday party: In America, when the birthday comes, the parents often have a party for their child. The child usually invites his/her friends to the party. Friends always come to the party with birthday presents. At the party, they play, have drinks and food, sing "Happy birthday" and dance happily.
Holiday party: Americans have lots of holidays, such as New Years Day, Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day. During(在……期间) these holiday parties, children can wear new clothes, decorate(装饰) Christmas trees and look for colourful eggs.
Theme party: When a new classmate comes to a new class, his/her classmates often have a welcome party. It's a kind of theme party. On that day, they don't have any homework, so they can sing and dance happily.
