How many hours do you spend in a chair every day? Six hours in the classroom in the daytime and two hours in your study in the evening?A Chinese student may say "yes".
You don't need anyone to tell you that sitting too much is not good for your health. It may make you get heavier. It is also bad for your neck and spine(脊椎). A good diet and exercise can't make you better if you sit too much every day. In other words,sitting is killing us.
Health experts tell us that we should stand more. Even small movements like standing to make a phone call ,walking over to talk to your classmates or taking stairs(楼梯)will help. When you are tired because of too much sitting,why not stand up? Standing up is a very easy thing. Standing up three or four hours in your day at work will be the same as running about marathons(马拉松)a year.
So please go over to talk to others instead of writing emails ,ride bikes instead of taking a car to school.
