A sudden ringing woke Peter up. He turned on the light, got up and went to answer the telephone. "Are you still (lie) on the bed?" came Henry's voice. "Yes, "said Peter." But it (be) only four. "
"Doesn't your watch work? Open the window and look outside. I (arrive) at the bus stop already."
Peter did as his friend said. It (snow) heavily and it was white everywhere. He ran to the telephone and said," Wait for me there and I (get) there in a quarter of an hour. "
It was cold and the road was covered thick snow. So Peter (not walk) quickly. After half an hour,Peter and his friends were on the bus. The old driver seemed to be careful. He drove slowly all the passengers understood why he did so. Suddenly a woman in the front of the bus called out, "Truck!" People were too frightened (say) a word. The driver turned the bus aside and it hit a tree by the road. The truck passed by quickly and fell the river. Luckily none of the passengers hurt. But they were not happy. They had to save the truck driver.
We can't be too careful in the snow.
