The Very Hungry Caterpillar(毛毛虫)

The book starts with a little caterpillar who comes out of its egg and starts looking for food. In the beginning, the caterpillar eats healthy food. Later it enjoys eating junk food. Its stomach hurts because it has eaten too much junk food. Then it decides to eat something good again. In the end, it becomes a butterfly. This book is great for learning some necessary English words, like numbers and foods. 

If You Give a Moose a Muffin

It is about a moose who always wants something more. First, he wants a muffin. Then he wants some jam to go with it. When he has finished eating, he wants some more until it's all gone. Then he asks you to make more and more. . . The writer uses a lot of future tenses(时态). So it is helpful in learning the future tense. 

Curious George

It is about a monkey named George. He is too curious, and that causes humans to catch him and bring him to their big city. There, he brings many problems. He calls the fire service, goes to prison(监狱), runs away, flies into the sky in balloons and finally he arrives safely at the zoo. The writer uses a lot of short simple sentences, making it very easy for English learners to read.
