My child and I were in the garden building our shed(小棚), with a group of kids from the neighborhood around us. Everyone was 1 to join in the wonderful building project.
A boy came by with a beautiful bird 2 on his shoulder. Other kids all ran towards him. I asked the boy, "Why doesn't the bird fly away?" To my surprise, he answered that its wings were 3 . After hearing that, I replied, "That's 4 !You have hurt it by taking away its chance of development. " Hearing my words, the boy's face turned red. Then I added, "This is what some people do to their 5 . They don't give their encouragement, which makes their children feel that they can 6 succeed. Isn't that cruel?"
Just then my 10﹣year﹣old son Jack started shouting, " 7 me!" He was swinging (摇摆)with two wings made of a large piece of cardboard on his back. Other kids laughed when seeing him. I said seriously, "He just has the 8 to do what he wants to do and hopes to get attention. Just make sure we get the attention we want in a way that is not 9 . "
I was happy that I could share the 10 with the kids. When I sat in the garden in the shining sun, I imagined how my kids would spread their wings and fly.
