Quora Search for questions, people and topics I am at college now. Do you think it is a good idea to do part-time jobs? Answer Will Shetty Answered Jun 6, 2023 • 35 views I think it's unnecessary for students to take part-time jobs while they are studying in colleges. Part-time jobs take lots of time. Students should spend plenty of time and energy on their college courses in order to become successful. Doing part-time jobs can be so tiring. Students who take part-time jobs certainly fill all of their time with work and college, so they haven't enough spare time for hobbies. |
Margaret Williams Answered 1 hour ago • 600 views I was surprised to read your recent post. You seem to make some advice on the question of college students' part-time jobs. But I don't agree with you. The first point I would like to make is that it's meaningful for college students to spend time doing part-time jobs. There are many jobs students can do. These jobs can give them useful experience of the working world. They are brought to meet different kinds of people, often older, and are given experience of expressing themselves clearly. I am thinking here of jobs such as tour guides and shopkeepers. One further thing is that a lot of jobs for college students can be fun and also useful to the community. College students who help in schools, hospitals and with the elderly often get pleasure. Also they can do a lot to local society. In conclusion, I would add that when I was a girl, my father said my teens were a time for books, and studies. Thinking back, if my father had allowed me to do some real work, other people and life. Certainly, when my own daughter is old enough, instead of wasting her time with soap operas and computer games, like so many young people today. |
