On the first day of university, our teacher asks us to get to know someone we didn't know before.
I stand up and look around when I hear a soft "Hi" behind. I turn around and find an old lady with a big smile. She says, "Hi. I'm Rose. I'm 87 years old. Can I give you a hug?"
I smile back, "Of course! Why are you in a university at such a young age?"
She laughs, "To meet someone like you!"
"Not really!" I laugh loudly.
"Well, I always dream of studying in a university and now I'm doing it."
From then on, ▲ . Every day for the next three months, we leave class together and talk for hours every day. Listening to this human "time machine" as she shares her years of wisdom and stories with me is so interesting.
Later, Rose becomes famous in the university. She loves to wear colorful clothes every day and makes friends wherever she goes. She is living it up.
At the end of the term, we invite Rose to give us a speech about the secrets to staying young. "My dear friends, you have to laugh and find happiness every day. Also, you need to have a dream. When you lose your dream, you lose your life." She says.
"There is a big difference between growing older and growing up." She says, "Anyone can grow older. But growing up needs to face the changes with an open heart, you will find the world is full of hope. "
I'll never forget what she teaches us.
