There was a tree in my garden. One day, two birds came to the tree and built a house for their three newborn babies.
One morning, I heard the sound of the birds. I got out of my house and found two baby birds eating food on the ground. After a while, their parents came back. They brought food to the third baby bird. But they put it on the ground, far away from the bird. To get the food, the baby bird had to fly down. Although she was hungry, she couldn't eat it because she was too afraid to fly down. To my surprise, her parents just stood there and did nothing.
After about ten minutes, the third baby bird slowly went to the edge (边缘) of the nest(鸟巢)and finally flew out of the nest. She landed(着陆) safely on the ground and ate the food happily.
These birds taught me a lesson that day. We should depend on (依靠)ourselves to get what we want.
