Rob walked around in front of the cinema impatiently. His friend, Steve, should meet him in five minutes. They were going to watch a movie together. Both of them really liked movies and tried to see one almost every week, but lately Steve always arrived late. There were only five minutes left, 1 Rob watched each car around him.
He 2 to see Steve's blue car. But watching cars made him even 3 . He wondered why Steve couldn't be on time. Last time Steve said it was because his dad needed help in the garage (车库). What would it be this time? There must be an excuse. He was 4 of it.
Rob checked his watch one more time. There was only one minute left. Then suddenly he heard Steve's voice. "Rob, I made it!"
Rob 5 and saw his friend. Steve ran to Bob and said, "I'm sorry, but my sister was ill and I had to 6 her to the hospital. "
"Well, let's go then," Rob said. He reached into his pocket for his 7 . "Where was it ?" "What's wrong?" Steve asked.
"I don't have my ticket," Rob said 8 .
"Go and check in your car. "
"I might be late then," Rob answered, feeling silly.
By the time he got his ticket from his car, they had already missed the beginning of the movie. Rob felt 9 during the whole movie.
When the movie was over, he apologized (抱歉), "I'm sorry, Steve. I was complaining (抱 怨) about you being late, but then I was the one who was late.
Steve 10 , "It doesn't matter. It happens to all of us. "
"I see that now. Thanks for your understanding. "
"That's what friends are for," Steve replied.
