Ip Man(叶问,1893—1972)was a master of WingChun(咏春拳). His eldest son Ip Chun is one of the most f Wing Chun teachers today.
In 1970,Liang Zhongwei learned from master Ip Chun and was in the first group of his students. To this day,the 70-year-old has been practising Wing Chun for more than 50 years.
"My master is a cultured man. He taught me some basic s in detail" said Liang. From then on,Liang would practise Wing Chun every day. For example,it took him three hours a day to do the horse-riding stance and strike a wooden dummy.
It's easy for beginners to get started with Wing Chun. But to move to a higher level,Liang thinks the key is relaxing. People can't give a good punch(出拳) if they are too n.
In the 1990s,Liang worked h to teach Wing Chun. He has taught more than 5,000 people in over 30 kung fu clubs across the country. His students come from different walks of life.
Liang e everyone to practise Wing Chun. He thinks learning it is not just about fighting. People can take it as a hobby or as a way to exercise.
