Today is grandma' s 80th birthday.
" I' m giving her a picture, " says Tony. " I take it with my new camera (相机). What are you going to give her?" he asks his brother Jeff.
" I don' t know, " says Jeff, " I don' t have a camera. So I can' t take a picture. "
Jeff goes into the kitchen. His mom is busy. " Mom, what are you giving grandma?"
" I' m making her favorite cake, " says Jeff s mom.
" I can' t make cakes. I don' t know how, " says Jeff.
Jeff goes to his sister' s room. She is busy sewing (缝纫). " Laura, what are you giving grandma?"
" I' m making her a warm blanket (毯子), " says Laura.
" I can' t sew blankets. I don' t know how, " says Jeff.
Jeff then goes and sits next to grandma on the sofa. " Everyone has a present for you, but I can' t take a picture, make cakes or sew. I don' t have anything to give you, " says Jeff.
Grandma puts her arm around Jeff. " You have the time to come and sit with me. That' s what you can give me, " says grandma.
Jeff sits close (靠近) to grandma. " Happy Birthday!" he says.
