Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels(小说) written by the British writer J. K. Rowling. The books are about the adventures of wizard(巫师) Harry Potter and his best friends Ron Weasley and Hemione Granger. They are students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There is an evil(邪恶的) wizard called Lord Voldemort. He killed Harry's parents.
The first novel Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, is released(发行) on June 30th,
1997. Since then, Harry Potter becomes popular and famous in the world. As of June 2008, the book series has sold more than 400 million copies and has been translated(翻译) into 67 languages(语言). The last four books are the fastest-selling books in history. By June 2011， all seven books have been made into films by Warner Brothers.
