Eco—mermaid swims for 12 hours to break record

On May 7, Merle Liivand broke her own world record for swimming with a single fin(然) in Florida. The"Eco—mermaid"(生态美人鱼) picked rubbish out of water when she swam. A few years ago, Merle moved to Miami, Florida. Once she nearly had some plastic(塑料) while swimming in the sea. She felt that as an open water swimmer, she should be doing more for the ocean rather than just swimming in it. 

 

An 11-year-old boy from Sydney has broken the Guinness World Records for the most drumbeats per minute using drumsticks. Pritish started to play drums at the age of 5 and to practice fast drumming in 2021. Pritish said when he sat in front of the camera, with a machine ready to count his beats, he had butterflies in his stomach. But when it was over a minute, and he knew he had made it Pritish now says he wants to learn more instruments and more types of drumming to become a world—famous musician.

World's Largest Igloo Cafe, High in the Himalayas

A hotel in India has created what is said to be the largest igloo(冰屋) cafe in the world. It is near ask!resort(旅游胜地) in the Himalayas with 10 tables which can hold up to 40 people at a time. The benches and tables are all made out of snow. The sheep skin cover the icy benches to make them more comfortable. The cafe won't be around for long. It's expected to melt(融化)in mid—March.
