Juan is ten years old now.When Juan was just two years old，his father bought him a ball.Ever since then Juan has loved playing sports about balls.His bedroom is covered with sports things.Juan spends a lot of time practicing in his room.He wants to be the first whatever he does.
When Juan wakes up，he always does all kinds of exercise in his bedroom.One morning，nobody heard the usual noise coming from Juan's room.Juan's mother knew something was wrong.She hurried upstairs to his room.There sat Juan.His eyes were red.After his mother asked，Juan handed his mother a letter.His mother took the letter and began to read.
Dear Juan，
We are excited to tell you that you have been picked out to play in our team.You will be a backup quarterback（后备四分卫） for the "Litter Rams"youth football team.Practice will begin in two weeks.We are looking forward to working with you.
Sincerely，Coach Harvey
After reading the letter，mother asked why Juan was sad.Juan said that he wanted to be the first﹣starting quarterback not the backup quarterback.
Juan's mother looked at her son.She thought for a moment.Then she said，"You have been given a chance to join a great team.Every member of the team is important.There is no 'I' in the word 'teamwork'.To be really great，you have to learn to play each role you are given.Everybody in the team will be depending on you to do your job."
After hearing his mother's words，Juan thought them over.Then he knew what he would do.
