We are growing up with the Internet. Each day, we go online to study, watch videos and play with friends. The online world is like a forest. There are lots of flowers and interesting things. But we may also fall into traps (陷阱). China just made the Regulations on the Protection of Minors in Cyberspace (《未成年人网络保护条例》). The regulations (条例) start to work on January 1,2024. How will they help us? Let's have a look.
● All video apps and games limit (限制) the time we can watch videos and play games. For example, children under 12 can only play Arena of Valor (《王者荣耀》) for an hour on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
● The regulations limit the money we could spend on games at a time.
● Our real names and phone numbers are safe. If someone wants to check our information, they need to be approved (被批准) first.
● Nobody can say bad things to children online.
