When I was very young, I learned a lot of Chinese characters. My parents patiently taught me how  the difference among them. They tried to make me understand the  of each character. My grandfather  guided me to write the Chinese characters "he" which means "harmony(和谐)".

As I got a little , I met some problems in my life. For example, at school, sometimes I would not get along  with my classmates. When I had difficulty in solving these things, I used to write down the character "he" on paper. Then my father hung it on the wall. He said that  and harmony are the first things for our Chinese nation. So we choose to be  to family and friends for a harmonious family and social relationship.

Now I learn that the Chinese character "he" is one of the most important  of traditional culture. Since ancient times, Chinese people have  that our only way of surviving(生存) is to live in harmony with nature. Harmony is the first  that influences Chinese people's thinking styles and actions.

Our most valuable ideas and culture are  the simple character. It teaches us not only how to be a good person but also how to live in harmony with others and the environment.
