Amy was a cute little girl, but she was always1 time getting prepared to do her tasks, instead of doing them at once.
In the village,Mr.Smith kept a store2 he sold fruits of all kinds, including berries(莓子) when in season. One morning," Amy,I3 some ripe(成熟的) blackberries on Mr Green's farm today. He said that anybody was welcome to pick them.I will pay you4 cents a kilo for all you pick for me."
Amy was so happy about the thought of making some money to help her mom that she quickly ran home to get a5 to hold the berries. Then she thought she should know how much she could get if she picked five kilos. After finding out that she would get 65 cents, she started to dream6 , "If I pick a dozen kilos, how much should I make?" After thinking for a while, she shouted7 , "Dear me,I should make a dollar and fifty﹣six cents!"
It8 her some time to dream bigger, and then it was near lunchtime. After lunch, she took her basket and hurried to the farm. Some boys had been there9 lunch, and all the ripe blackberries were picked. Then she thought of what her teacher often told her: "Do your task at once;then think bigger about it.One doer is better than 10010 ."
