As a tour guide in New York City, Jessica Higgins gets to share her love of the "Big Apple" with tourists from all over the world. She does it all from the top of a big red double-decker bus! When weather allows, most visitors choose to sit on the upper level so that they can enjoy the sunshine as they learn about the city.
Jessica has a microphone so everyone can hear her speak, and she keeps a water bottle nearby because she'll need it after hours and hours of talking. She must stay enthusiastic (热情的) throughout the tour to help everyone on the bus enjoy their trip!
The tour goes all around New York City, so Jessica has plenty of landmarks to talk about. She spends a few minutes telling everyone about the history of the Empire State Building before she points out where the famous "victory kiss" took place in Times Square after World War II. She answers any questions visitors have as well.
Jessica is responsible for the safety of her visitors as they enter and exit the bus. Tourists have the choice of joining or leaving the group at several locations. At each of these stops, Jessica says goodbye to people ready to shop, eat or explore on their own. She also helps the next wave of people settle in for the tour. As she does, she keeps a watchful eye out for any elderly or disabled tourists who might need a bit of extra help getting to their seat.
