For many people, tattoos (纹身) are often regarded as a symbol of being
bad. Though it may not be completely true, a large number of teenagers related
to crimes have parts of their bodies tattooed.
Last year, a law (法律) came out, clearly saying that teenagers under 18
aren 't allowed to get tattooed. Also, they can 't do it even if their family runs a tattoo business. Any adult offering teenagers such service will be punished.
The law led to hot discussions. Some people expressed their doubts online, wondering whether the law should be so strict. After all, whether a person gets tattooed or not is up to himself. On the other hand, some people support the law, saying teenagers may choose to get tattooed because of others 'encouragement for fun. It can possibly hurt teenagers 'bodies and minds in the end.
China 's military service system requires that people with tattoos can not be soldiers. It is said that in recent years, the number of teenagers who are able to join the army is getting smaller. What 's more, teenagers can 't achieve their dreams to be a policeman because of getting tattooed.
However, the law shouldn 't be the only way to guide teenagers. For example, they should clearly tell teenagers about the terrible influence of tattoos on their future education and work.
