1. Dress properly

Choose a pair of comfortable shoes. Make sure they won't fall off or cause you to trip when you run.

2. Look around 

and know when to leave

This maybe the most important step. Once the number of people reaches 6 people per square meter (每平方米) or more, it becomes very dangerous and you may not be able to get out easily. Leave right now if you find there are too many people in the place.

3.Stay at the edge (边缘) of a crowd

Staying at the edge of a crowd allows you to get away more quickly. However, if you find yourself in the middle of a dangerous crowd, there is something to remember: 

★Go with the crowd, not against it

Move with the crowd; fighting against it might make you fall.

★Keep standing and do not fall

Whatever you do, do not go down to the ground. Once you fall down, people will fall on you. You won't be able to get back up.

★Lie on your left side if you fall

If you fall down, try to lie on your left side to protect your heart and lungs (肺). Cover your head with your arms and hands.
