The Year of Dragon is coming. Among the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac (生肖), the dragon is the (popular) one. In Chinese culture, the dragon is symbol of power, luck and success. Many people believe that a person born in the Year of Dragon will be kind, friendly and (luck).
There are certain traditions at a Chinese New Year celebration. For example, people would give a red envelope, or Hongbao, to (they) children or grandchildren for good luck in the coming New Year. It is a good way to show love, good (wish) or blessings (祝福). This tradition (start) more than 2,000 years ago. During the celebration, people can (easy) see dragon dances and other traditional activities. Most importantly, some of the family members work and live in different cities, they will all get together to have a family reunion (团圆) dinner.
In fact, all of these traditions have one thing common—people wish to have good luck and look forward to (make) bigger progress in the coming year.
