One evening, before Daisy went to buy a packet of sweets, she asked her family if anyone needed anything. Benny, Daisy's brother wanted to play a trick (诡计) her. He asked her to buy (he) a packet of electricity. Daisy agreed and then went out.
Benny laughed and he thought Daisy couldn't buy electricity in (packet) like sweets! He said Daisy was (fool). Parents told him not (say) that and then asked him something about electricity. Benny said, "Electricity gives us power. It flows wires. (part), it is like water." Daisy came home and gave some batteries to him , Benny thought they were batteries instead of electricity. "The (chemical) inside batteries produce electricity." said Dad. After (hear) that, Benny turned red.
Electricity comes into peopled flats through thin wires. These are connected to cables under the street and people connect the cables to a power station.
