The Beginning of Spring（立春）is the first of the 24 solar terms. The weather gets warm and sunny. Plants start to grow. Many animals have their babies in spring. 

 The Beginning of Summer（立夏）comes in May every year. It's hot and sunny. Fruits grow on plants. Young animals grow bigger and stronger. 

The Beginning of Autumn（立秋）means autumn comes. The weather is windy and cool. 

Leaves turn yellow or brown and fall off the trees. Some animals collect（收集） food before winter comes. 

The Beginning of Winter（立冬）means winter comes. The weather is cold and in some places there is lots of snow. Some plants stop growing. Some animals find places to sleep.
