Major Achievements:

1969: Worked as the leader of a research team aiming to fight against malaria (疟疾)

1972: Managed to extract qinghaosu from a Chinese herb, which is very useful in fighting malaria

1986: Get a New Drug Certificate for ginghaosu, by the Ministry of Health of China

2015: Won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine

2019: Named for "The Greatest Person of the 20th Century"
