Confucius（孔子） was born in the state of Lu in 551 B. C. His father died three after he was born，leaving the family poor. Confucius worked very hard and received a fine education. He was a good and obedient（听话的）son to his mother. He at the age of 19 and had one son and two daughters.
Confucius was a thinker and educator in ancient China. He made wise sayings that helped people learn about nature，the world and the human behavior. He helped the government officers by teaching them lessons on to rule their states successfully. He had many students. He taught them tohonest and kind，and to respect their parents. He taught them that a good man never lets himself get angry. Many of his sayings are in a book called Lunyu.
For years he travelled from state to state spreading his ideas. His thoughts influence China today.
