Emily Bhatnagar has always loved reading and regarded books as her best friends. About three years ago, 16-year-old Emily's1 was diagnosed(被诊断) with cancer. The news was difficult for the family. Books became an even bigger comfort, and she started thinking about families in similar2 . When her father became well. she 3 a plan to help others. Emily started a book drive in her hometown. The purpose was to4 books and give them to kids who are treated for cancer in local hospitals.
Emily5 by putting information on social media to ask people in her area to donate(捐赠). "I was expecting maybe two or three replies from6 , " she said, "But it ended up unexpectedly. I have collected more than 10 000 books7 since the start of the book drive. "
