I've been smoking ever since I was very young. To be honest, I never considered what could happen to my body if I kept smoking. I just knew that I couldn't help smoking, especially when I felt very anxious. One day, I started to notice that it was getting harder and harder for me to do simple things like walking. He said that it would get harder to breathe if I didn't stop smoking, and that one day I might have to be seriously ill in bed. That made me so scared enough that I decided to give a try. However, after a few days, I failed. I knew it would be harder when I spent a lot of time with my best friend who was a smoker.
Then I tried again. That time, I tried the patch(戒烟贴), which made a big difference. It took almost 5 months, but I was finally able to stop smoking. I could feel comfortable and hopeful. My son has also been a huge help. He has been a non- smoker for almost ten years now. Whenever I wanted a cigarette, I would give him a call. He helped me remember why I had to stop smoking.
