He was driving home one cold evening on a country road when he saw an old lady standing on the side of the road. He stopped to give her a hand. "Why don't you wait in the car where it isn't cold, Madam? It won't take me long." He said, "My name is Joe." She had a flat tire. Joe crawled under the car and repaired the car. But he got dirty and his hand hurt. She thanked him and asked him how much she should give him. He told her if she really decided to thank him back, the next time she saw someone needed help, she could give that person the money he needed, and Joe said, "And think of me." She drove off with thankfulness. A few miles down the road, the lady saw a small restaurant. She went in. The waitress was nearly eight months pregnant. She welcomed her with a sweet smile. The old lady wanted to know how she could be so happy and how she could work in such a poor situation. Then she thought of Joe's words. After the lady finished her meal, the waitress went to get her change from 100$ bill. But the lady went right out of the door. When the waitress came back, she saw a note on the table, saying "I'm helping you because someone once helped me. If you really want to give me back the change, here is what you can do – Do not let the chain of love end with you."
The waitress went home that night with the money and the note. With the birth of the baby next month, she and her husband needed money. She knew how worried her husband was. And when her husband was sleeping next to her, she said: "Everything's going to be all right. I love you, Joe."
