Some people collect(搜集) postage stamps — the small pieces of paper you place on letters or postcards before mailing them. Other people collect works of art, musical instruments and so on. But a man in the American state of Maryland collects secrets(秘密).

His name is Frank Warren. He collects all kinds of secrets. In 2005, he set up PostSecret. People can send him postcards or emails to tell their secrets. Every Sunday, he chooses 10 secrets and puts them on the Internet.

Frank said he set up PostSecret, so people could share their secrets in a safe place. "People write their secrets on cards and then mail them to me without giving their names. In this way, I don't know who they are, so they aren't afraid of telling me secrets."

Frank wrote six books full of the secrets which people shared with him. One secret in each book is his. Eric Perry, a mailman, brought thousands of secrets to Frank's home. "Frank gave me some of his books, and I read them all. My family read them all, too." he added.

PostSecret itself was just one of Frank's secrets. His wife did not know what he was doing until his first book was published(出版). "The publisher(出版社) actually called me, and told me that the address was going to be on the book, and I said ‘No, it's not.' And she said, ‘Yes, it is — it's in the contract.' And I said, ‘No, it's not!' I mean, I was really ... I wasn't very happy about that."
