Air Jordan (飞人乔丹) shoes are very popular and expensive. The first Air Jordan shoes were made in 1985. The next Air Jordan shoes came out in 1986. These shoes were special for basketball shoes, because they were made in Italy in 1990, which gave them a luxury (奢侈的) feel. Two years later, the third Air Jordan shoes were produced.

If you want to make your shoes look new, first, get out a toothbrush and some cleaning oil. Second, spray (喷) the oil on the shoes. Third, wash the dirt off with the toothbrush repeatedly while you are scrubbing (擦) . Finally scrub the shoes with a paper towel or clean cloth If you did a good job, your shoes should look as nice as when you first got them.

If you go to a dance party, you'll need to wear dress shoes. However, wearing dress shoes for a few minutes can be really painful. To solve the problem, you can bring a box of band-aids (创口贴) with you. When your feet hurt, put on those band-aids. The band-aids will create something that will reduce pain.

When playing golf and bowling (保龄球) , people need to wear special shoes. Golf shoes have sharp metal spikes (鞋钉) , while bowling shoes have almost no spikes a tall Both these shoes help players perform. Besides looking silly golf shoes and bowling shoes do not have soles (鞋底) that are fit for street use.

Are you wearing shoes? Why? People wear shoes for many reasons. The fist and most important reason is to protect their feet. Shoes keep people from hurting their feet while walking on hard roads. Some people wear special shoes designed to help them play a game. Some people wear expensive shoes to look fashionable. And a lot of other people wear shoes so that their feet won't stink (发臭) up the room.

下面文章中有五处需要添加标题。请从以下选项 (A、B、C、D、E和F) 中选出符合意思的标题。选项中有一项是多余选项。

Hopes, ambitions (抱负), dreams. How many of yours will you achieve? When you look back at your life in the future, will you have good memories of all his things that you did? Or will you regret all the things that you didn't do?

Of course, there's no easy road to success, but one thing is certain: success won't come if you don't do anything. So how do you do it? This four-step model will help you to make your dreams come true.

    Step 1:

What would you like to do? Write down all your ambitions. They may be very general, such asI would like to be fitter.I want to be famous,orIt would be nice to have more friends. Orthey may be more specific, likeI've always wanted to play a musical instrument.

    Step 2:

Now you need to do two things:

⒈ Choose one or two ambitions. If you try to do everything, you won't do anything.

⒉ Set a time limit (限定). This is very important, because you will have a goal and you will also know when you have reached it.

So, for example,I would like to be fitterin Step 1 now becomesI will be fit enough to join a half-marathon race by the end of August.

    Step 3:

Now that you've made your choice, what are you actually going to do to achieve your goal? So, in our example,I will be fit enough to join a half-marathon race by the end of August, becomes I'm going to join a running club, or I'm going to go jogging three times a week.

    Step 4:

This is when you change your intentions (意图) into specific actions. Prepare to do something at a specific time. If you don't do this, your dreams and plans will just stay as dreams and plans. So nowI'm going to join a running club, becomes I'm meting the president of the Cheetahs Running Club on Monday evening at 5∶30.

Don't let your ambitions die. Follow this four-step plan and make your dream come true.

A. ChangeI would like totoI will.

B. ChangeI did.toI do

C. How to be successful

D. ChangeI'm going totoI'm doing… on… at…

E. Think about your ambitions

F. ChangeI will.toI'm going to. ..

下面文章中有五处需要添加首句。请从以下选项(A、B、C、D、E和F)中选出符合各段意思的首句。选项中有一项是多余选项。

A. You probably sit right at the front of the class if you re longing for knowledge.

B. Research suggests that the seat you choose in the classroom says a lot about you and your personality.

C. Do you sit in the middle of the classroom?

D. This means it's a good idea to sit in a different place every day.

E. People often think that students who sit at the back are lazy.

F. Students who sit at the side of the classroom are normally interested in class.

Where you sit and how you fit

For more than seventy years, researchers and teachers have studied the link between the place where students choose to sit in class and what they are like as people and learners. Where do you usually decide to sit? Have you ever really thought about the reasons for your decision?

But is this really true? Well, some researchers say it is not. In fact, shy students often choose the back row because it is far away from the teacher and they don't want to answer questions. At the back, students probably won't speak much, but in big classrooms, it can be hard to see the board and hear what the teacher is saying. This could be the reason why students who sit here often get lower grades on tests and exams. For students with poor eyesight or hearing, a seat at the back of the classroom is not a good choice.

However, they like watching and listening rather than joining in. These students are usually also very good at taking notes. Next time you miss a class, borrow notes from someone who sits here. On the sides of the classroom you will generally find modest and thoughtful people. These people usually get good grades in school and are interested in learning.

Then the statistics (统计数据) say you probably like your teacher. You probably also have a good relationship with your classmates. Caring, outgoing, and cheerful people usually sit in the middle. They are normally serious about learning and feel disappointed with low grades on tests and exams.

Students who sit here usually want to discuss things with the teacher and are often very interested in the subject. They want to be in the best place to see and hear everything the teacher does and says. The only problem with sitting here is that it can be difficult to see and hear what other students do and say in class. So, if you really want to hear what everyone says in class, choose a different place to sit.

下面文章中有五处需要添加小标题。请从以下选项(A、B、C、D、E 和 F)中选出符合各段意思的小标题。选项中有一项是多余选项。Five ways to make a great first impression(印象)!
Researchers have discovered that, in general, it only takes seven seconds for a person to start making judgments about you when they first meet you. That's why you should follow these useful tips on how to create a good first impression.

Before meeting someone, start thinking about the purpose of the meeting. Are you trying to impress them? For example, if you want to make new friends at a social event, you will want to appear friendly. And if you decide to run for class president at your school, you will need to appear confident(自信).

Smiling is the most important thing you can do when meeting someone new. It shows that you're friendly and makes people around you feel more comfortable. To have a winning smile, make sure your teeth are clean by brushing them every day.

Before you begin speaking, you will be judged on your body language. Therefore, it's important to show trust in yourself by standing up tall and putting your shoulders back. Besides, if you uncross your arms, you will appear relaxed and friendly.

How you smell can influence people's first impression of you. If you have a bad body smell, it will put people off. In short, aim to smell clean and avoid putting on a lot of scented products.

What you wear matters. While you should look clean and tidy, it's also important to dress properly, whether you're going to a birthday party or a sporting event. You should think about what your clothes say about you.
A. Smell good
B. Dress to impress
C. Get ready for a speech
D. A smile goes a long way
E. Be careful about your body language
F. Decide what image(形象)you want to present
